Hi My name is Kimi Orton.  :))

I'm married to my best friend Dwayne who is 100% supportive of my
dream to inspire others with art. We have three awesome kids who keep us
busy with sports, music and school. I've always been creative,
doing floral arranging, sewing, tole painting and crafts since I was a teen
and then about 20 years ago I got hooked onto scrap-booking/mixed media and
have loved this art form ever since.
I would say that my style is shabby chic, eclectic, romantic, and artsy all rolled into one.
I love using different techniques and try to not get stuck too long in one type of medium.
 I'm always trying something new!
I absolutely love to share my abilities with others and encourage them to be creative as well!
I find being creative therapeutic, relaxing and a way to unwind from
busy life.  I want to empower other women to do the same while
meeting new people and learning new artistic skills.

I've been published five times in Canadian Scrapbook magazine.  :))

It's pretty cool!  The first time was in the Summer 2013 edition.

The second time was the Summer 2015 edition.  My kids thought it was pretty neat their pictures were in a magazine.  My youngest daughter said, "Look mom, I'm famous!"  :))) canadian-scrapbooker-_-summer-2015-cover

The third time was in the Winter 2015 edition where I had three Christmas cards included on page 120!

And the fourth time was the Spring 2016 edition where I had a layout published on page 100 and a card on page 127!  Whoot whoot

The fifth time I was published was in the Fall 2016 edition.

I have two publications in this fall edition.... a layout on page 33. lol it's funny though.... when you look at the layout, they made a mistake and the left side of the layout is sideways! They missed that and didn't edit it to turn to the right so it lined up with the right page. There's grass growing on the side of one page and on the bottom of the other. lol Oh well. :)))

And I was also asked to submit a layout for the front cover! The editors of the magazine ask 10 Canadian designers to create a layout using the photo they provide. Then out of the 10 submissions they choose one for the front cover and 3-4 to go inside. My layout was chosen for the inside! Check it out on page 9.
